An informal life class with four week poses for oil painters.  I will be painting alongside you demonstrating different techniques and giving advice about materials, composition and techniques.

Course Content:

• The chemistry of oil paints
• Drawing for painting
• How to transfer your drawing on the canvas
• How to use transparent glazes like the old masters
• How to mix skin tones
• Composition
• Colour mixing
• Colour theory

Materials:

I can give advice about how oil paints work and how you use them without involving solvents that give off fumes. There are some paints,brushes and palettes available in the studio together with supports to paint on hand to use and buy at cost.

TIME: 10.00am – 1.00pm

COST: £100 for 6 weeks or £17 per drop in session (Plus Eventbrite service fees)

Includes the cost of the model.
